This policy explains how The Alignment Anchor collects and uses your personal data when you visit thealignmentanchor.com, download a free resource, subscribe to our newsletter, book a call or work with us. We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who we are

The Alignment Anchor is a career, leadership and executive coaching business based in Sweden, founded by Ujwala Navgire Vidolkar. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: info@thealignmentanchor.com.

What we collect

• Sign-up details: your name and email address when you request a free resource or subscribe.
• Booking details: your name, email and the answers you give when you book a call.
• Coaching details: information you share during a programme, such as your CV, career history and goals.
• Payment details: handled by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers.
• Website data: basic technical data and cookies needed for the site to work and to understand how it is used.

How we use it

• To send you the free resource you asked for.
• To send our career insights newsletter every two weeks, based on your consent.
• To prepare for and hold calls and coaching sessions you book.
• To deliver the services you buy and to keep records required by law, such as accounting records.
• To answer your questions.

We never sell your data and never share it for others' marketing.

Legal basis

• Consent: newsletter and marketing emails.
• Contract: calls, programmes and services you book or buy.
• Legal obligation: accounting and tax records.
• Legitimate interest: keeping the website secure and working well.

Who processes your data for us

We use trusted service providers to run our business, including Kajabi (website, forms and email), Calendly (booking), Zoom and Google (video calls and file storage) and Microsoft (business email). Some of these providers are based outside the EU, for example in the United States. Where this applies, transfers are protected by safeguards recognised under GDPR, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

• Newsletter and free resources: until you unsubscribe.
• Call bookings that do not lead to a programme: up to 12 months.
• Client coaching records: for the length of the programme and up to 3 years after, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
• Accounting records: as long as Swedish law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy of it. You can withdraw your consent at any time, for example by clicking "unsubscribe" at the bottom of any email. Email info@thealignmentanchor.com and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY) at imy.se.

Confidentiality in coaching

What you share in coaching stays confidential. We only share your name, story or feedback publicly with your written permission.
